Ian and Audrey were our first friends in Canada. They have remained best friends for these last 31 years. Their children call us Uncle Gray and Aunty Jan. Celanese transferred them to the USA about 15 years ago. Two of their children live in North Carolina, Helen, married with 3 girls, and Melanie who lives in Greensboro. Mike still lives in Canada. He and his wife are expecting their first child in September. Ian is retired and Audrey teaches piano to about 30 children out of their home. They now live in Fort Mill, SC.
We have spent time at their home, at Edisto Beach, and in Hendersonville together over the years. Due to illnessses we had not been together for almost a year. If you notice the picture with Ian, Audrey, and me in it, we are smiling - almost laughing. Jan was technically challenged with taking our picture. But that just makes her all the more loving. We had a great time together. We visited the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg and got a good dose of culture. We saw the musical "Beehives" on Friday Evening at the Center. We watched two good movies - Defiance and Last Chance Harvey. I would recommend both. As usual we had a special time with them. Good friends make life so special.
