Cold Weather - January 2010

We had very cold weather in January, just like most of the South.

I asked Jan to take my picture in my cold weather garb. I wanted you to know how a real man

dresses for the frigid temperatures.

Well bless her heart, i didn't train her very well with the camera.

Please note the hat. I bought it in Canada when we lived there from 1978-1982.

We have a deputy sheriff who lives in our neighborhood. He wanted to arrest me for scaring the little children and small dogs! Thank goodness it has warmed up.

Christmas at Edisto Beach - 2009

The Goodmans gathered at Edisto Beach for 5 days again in 2009. Joe, Liz, Mike, Holly, and Logan stayed at their beach house at Ocean Ridge. Gary and Brenda rented a house on the Sound with their children. Fran and Drew were there with Evie, Mary Fran, and Ward. Grayson was there with his girl friend Jessica. Eddie Mack/Joyce and Grayson/Jan rented a six bedroom duplex on the Sound about a quarter mile from Gary. EM/Joyce's children - Macky/Belinda with Ashley and Zach, and Donald/Michelle with Daniel - were there. Only Todd and Morgan were absent. Matthew and Aimee came down on Thursday. With Aunt Betty we had a total of 28. And that is not counting the two babies yet to be born!

We managed to eat together on Thursday and Friday nights, and on Saturday afternoon. We had Low Country Boil, Hopping Johns, pork, and collard greens on New Years day, and beef tenderloin on Saturday. We ate like Kings! We talked about old times, watched football games, and enjoyed the grandkids. We are a family blessed. We are looking for a repeat in 2010.
