The Goodman Christmas Gathering at Edisto 2010

What a great time we had this year. We celebrated our Christmas gathering on New Years Eve. All of Eddie Mack and Joyce's family were there except Macky and Belinda and kids. All of Gary and Brenda's family were there. Joe and Liz had to leave Mike, Holly and Logan at home since Mike had just got out of the hospital. We missed them all. And of course Jan and I with Matthew and Aimee made up the rest. All total there were 24 of us. Grayson and Jessica will be getting married on April 16 and Aimee and Matthew's baby is due August 2. So we know we have a good year ahead of us. We gathered again on New Years Day for collard greens and pork and hoppin John's at Eddie Mack and Joyce's cottage. The time flew by. We thank the good Lord for all of our blessings. Hopefully everyone will make it to the beach next year. Happy New Year to All!!!

Grandma Joyce had to have her time with the little lady.
Grand daddy and the angelic Daniel?
Donald has his hands and heart full with these two.
Mother Fran with the newest Goodman grandson, Cade Petrey.
Mom and daughter both have expressive eyes.
This is a bunch of the children.
When the appetizers were moved from the kitchen to the coffee table, the amount of food that was consumed increased greatly.
It was so nice to have the food at Ward's level. Life doesn't get much better.
This young man knew how to enjoy food.
Evie had on a beautiful dress that made her look like an angel.

A Christmas Visit at Tara II with Rena and Nicky Butler

Rena and Jan in front of the 500 plus Santa Clauses!
These are the two older gents who are husbands to the above ladies - Nicky and Grayson.
Their beautiful home was decorated so well.
They must have about 100 dolls of all descriptions.
We had a wonderful visit with Rena and Nicky. Their home is a Southern Classic. They call it Tara II. They have about 15 plus acres on the river. The grounds are immaculate. But they are what make it so special. We so value their friendship and kindness.

A Mini Reunion of Class of 1959 - St. Pauls High

Over the Christmas Holiday at Edisto Beach we had the chance to have lunch with Ginny King, Roy and Beth Smoak, and Eddie Mack and Joyce. Roy, Ginny and Joyce are members of the St Pauls Class of 1959. I was class of 1958 and Eddie Mack was 1955. We had lunch at the Waterfront Restaurant and managed to eat and talk for over 2 hours. A grand time was had by all. We hope to have a repeat this summer and hopefully add a few more folks to the party.

The Snow of 2010 in Spartanburg

The flag finally got to see some snow - 4 inches total.
Looking up our street towards our home.
This is the snowman at our neighbor's Mike and Tina's home. They used all the snow on their yard to build it.
A picture of our home.
