Granddaddy's Birthday - September 13,2013

Here we come for my birthday celebration and Miss Stella is so busy working in her kitchen. She just didn't have time to put on her pants. But that is alright. We were there to celebrate Granddaddy's birthday and to also celebrate Matthew and Aimee's fourth anniversary.
We always start out with Stella sitting in our laps for a little while.
She is helping granddaddy open his cards and gifts. I had a great birthday. I played golf, had lots of calls, lots of cards, and a double dose of birthday greetings on Facebook. And then Jan prepared my favorite meal. To top it off, we went to the Chapman Center for the play "Singing in the Rain". It was super.
 Matthew was ready for lunch.
We are about to leave for lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. Stella is dressed and ready to go.
After lunch we went to a park.
Riding a duck is alot of fun.
Climbing up the steps -  I am a big girl. You do not have to help me!
I must navigate through this long and dangerous cave!
 Wow, that was fun.
Look daddy, I am ready to slide.
Mommy and her precious little girl.
About ready to leave for home and we had to have a group picture. We will not see her for 3 weeks since we are leaving for our Midwest trip on September 19,2013

A Visit with Stella in Rock Hill - September 7, 2013

If Granddaddy hasn't seen Stella in at least once every two weeks, he gets grumpy. So off to Rock Hill we went for a visit. She had on a new hat.
Grandmomma and Stella are best of buddies.
Mom counseling son with lots of love.
Now, here are two pretty girls.
She is eating a cookie after lunch.
The three of us again. We hope to see them in another week.

A Visit with Glenn and Margaret in Hendersonville - August 30, 2013

Glenn and Margaret spent 3 days with us in Hendersonville. We had not seen them in almost 4 years. We have been friends for 30 years.
The three of us at a picnic at Lake Lure, NC.
With a little bit of help, Margaret finally took this picture.
Old friends are more precious than silver and gold.

A Day at Hollywild Animal Park - August 24, 2013

We had a wonderful day at Hollywild Animal Park. It was sunny and not too hot. Stella was amazed at all of the different animals.
The park was very muddy. So Stella had to hitch a ride with all of us.
Granddaddy carried Stella also. The guy on the left is not one of my brothers though there is a family resemblance!
 The two mommies talking away.
 The entire young family.
 These guys were just resting.
It was a great day for sunning.
Aimee and Stella talking to another mother and daughter.
Do you recognize this fellow? He is always hungry. We were now on the bus inside the park.
After the park, grandmother was reading to Stella.
What a serious look. She is deep in thought!
The Chinese hat was a decoration but Stella had other ideas.
Grandmomma also tried on the hat.
 She is just so busy.
A visit to Granddaddy's is not complete unless we dump out all the big Legos!
