A January 2014 Visit with Stella

Grandmother and Stella doing girl things!
She is sitting in her pink bean bag chair that she got from Santa. She is waving her Wofford pom pom.
Granddaddy, I know how to read. I will help you.
She is in the front bedroom which is really a play room for her.
Granddaddy is learning so much by listening to Stella read.
 Grandmomma, are you paying attention?
Momma is fixing my hair so that I will look pretty.
My daddy is a real nice man, and handsome too.
 I love my mommy.
 Grandmomma is a cutie also!
Ok everybody, lets go get something to eat.

New Year's Day - Edisto Beach 2014

New's Year Day at Edisto!! Joyce had prepared a classic meal - pork roast, collards, hoppin johns ( black eye peas cooked in rice), corn bread and all the other goodies. Here are Fran and Drew Petrey, Joyce and Liz.
Jan was in for a real treat. Ward, Gary's grandson - age 5, sat down across from her and started talking. They talked for about 15 minutes.
Jan learned so much from this adventure.
My two younger brothers - Joe and Gary. Gary had all of his family at the beach.  We other three boys had our wives with us. Our children had left for home and work.
Grayson with his girl friend Grace. Have you noticed that most of the folks are in Garnet and Black. We watched the USC-Wisconsin game.
This is the front door of the beach house that Gary rented. It was on the sound and was extra nice. The original owner of this house had been the Mr. Parrish who was convicted of running a Ponzi scheme. Lots of low country folks lost all of their life savings.
McGruff, Grayson's dog, was not very happy because he could not come in the house.
Uncle Eddie Mack was resting a little during the big game!
Here is my pretty wife Jan reading the paper and waiting for dinner.
 Watching the Gamecocks play!!
 What a pretty young lady.
This photo shows Brenda, Jan, Ward, and young Conner Shaw, ie Cade. He will answer only to Conner Shaw. There were 18 of us. We had a great time.
