Matthew's 29th Birthday - November 30, 2011

On Friday of Thanksgiving week we celebrated Matthew's 29th birthday at Long Horn Steak House. Stella was with Aimee's parents. The meal was outstanding. The young couple were feeling rested and happy.

This is the other Goodman couple. This one is a little older than the one above. But still they were the cutest!!! And they paid for the meal.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2011

We had Thanksgiving with Suzanne and Norton Cater again this year. Their son Jeff and wife Dianne and children Josh and Annie were also with us. The meal was outstanding. And the fellowship was equally great. We were so thankful to have such super friends.
Annie is showing off the quilt that she made. She is quite the talented young lady.

Jan and Annie waiting for the dinner bell.

Annie resting with a video game.

On Friday we went to Rock Hill. We went to visit with Matthew's great grandfather Roy Watkins. He is 99 and will be 100 in March. He lives in a nursing home in Rock Hill. He cannot speak because of cancer in the throat from about 50 years ago. But Jan can read his lips. So we had a good time with him. Notice that he just held on to Jan's hand. He told us three times that we should visit more often. We said that we would.

We are at Stella's Acres. We have 5 acres of wooded land outside of Rick Hill. Sometime in the next 3-5 years we hope to build a house for Stella and her parents out in the country. Until then we will clear away brush, cut down a few trees and enjoy the land while we picnic.

Grandmother Jan and Ms. Stella.

Dad only has eyes for Stella.

Grand dad is listening to what she is telling him!! How do you like the bow?
