Jan's Birthday - October 27, 2011

Jan and Joyce's birthday cake - a Red Velvet.
Jan and Joyce are twins. For the first time in many years they were able to celebrate it together. Debbie had baked the cake for them.

All three sisters were present. Jane had flown in from Minnesota. Joyce lives in Virginia Beach. The sisters had not been together since October, 2010.

Joyce was cutting the cake. Jan was dipping the ice cream.

This is now Saturday morning. We are waiting for Matthew, Aimee, and Stella from Rock Hill.

Aunt Joyce is holding the baby. Stella did not feel too well. She was a little cranky.

Dad took Stella in the bedroom to rock her. She was not in the mood for rocking.

Mom was holding the baby.

And here is that pretty baby.

Only mom could keep Stella from crying today.

Stella was not to happy to be with granddaddy. But we need this photo to prove that he was home this weekend.

Halloween in Moore 2011

On my walk this morning with Marty, I noticed several Halloween decorations. They had the colors of Fall. There were lots of mums and strange looking scarecrows. Marty took absolutely no notice of the decorations. He was too busy sniffing to look up. But it is a beautiful time of the year here in the Upcountry of South Carolina.

Another Stella Visit - Oct 14, 2011

When we arrived on Friday, mother and daughter were sound asleep on the sofa. They were both pooped out. They had had a full day.

While Granddaddy and dad were out running an errand, grandmother got to feed Stella a bottle and hold and rock her for about 45 minutes. Here she is waking up.

They got along just fabulously. Aimee was getting refreshed while Jan took care of Stella.

October 9, 2011 Visit with Stella

Stella and Mom - We visited on Sunday after church. Aimee was moving Stella from breast feeding to bottle feeding since Aimee will be returning to work in 10 days. And Ms. Stella had been resisting the change. So every feeding with the bottle became a major production. But Stella would be all right. Mom and dad were working hard.
Jan had brought steaks for supper. So Matthew was helping mom with the chores. And here is Aimee feeding the baby.

Lots of girl talk went on.

Dad is very good about feeding Stella.

This is the first picture I took with my new camera. Jan usually reads every word in the paper.
