A Few New Plants for 2010

Jan doesn't know what happened to Grayson. All of a sudden with no pressure from Jan, he decides to beautify the back yard. We first thought about sodding it but changed our mind. Grayson was too cheap. So he decides to plant "stuff". Twenty five plants and three days of digging and watering with about 15 bales of pine straw later, he calls it quits. He is too pooped to do anything else. However, he did manage to play golf af Cross Winds on Monday and Thursday. He got a birdie each day. You don't get tired when playing golf. It is in the Bible in chapter 66 of the Book of Rambunkshus. Check it out. I am a Sunday School teacher and a very good one, if I do say so myself. Well I need to study the lessson for tomorrow. Come check out the garden. We will serve you some iced tea. Amen and amen.
One look at the garden
The birds who drink from the bird bath are very large!

This is a Knockout rose. They are very popular this year. I planted six of them.

A look from a distance. Hopefully, next Spring everything will have
grown larger and look prettier.

A Weekeng With Gary and Brenda - March 2010

The brothers four and their wives gathered at Gary and Brenda's home in Lexington, SC for a weekend reunion. We work hard to make sure we stay close. Eddie Mack is still suffering from the headaches caused by the amyloid angiopathy adema. It is a big set of words and it has given him a fit. Keep him in your prayers. We talked about children, grandchildren, vacation plans, and all our aches and pains. Joe and Liz have recently retired and are spending their time between Charlotte and Edisto Beach. Their biggest job now is taking care of grandson Logan on Mondays and Tuesdays. Joyce and Mack are trying to get Mack well. Brenda is taking painting lessons and is doing quite well. Jan and Grayson are aging gracefully. A good time was had and the food was superb.
The waterfalls at Brenda and Gary's home. This is where the birds of Mid Carolina come to entertain their guests.

Friday Morning Men's Prayer Breakfast

Believe it or not, a handful of men at Second Presbyterian Church have been coming to the church on Friday mornings for the last 10 plus years. We gather for breakfast, Bible study and prayer. We support each other during the difficult days and during the days of celebration.
Our numbers have been as low as 3 and as high as 11. We now have 11 gents who come real faithfully. Come on down and join us at 700PM. We would love to see you there.
Through this gate come the old Christian soldiers of Second Presbyterian Church for their Friday morning breakfast and Bible study.
