Visit With Aimee and Matthew - April 29, 2011

Aimee and Jan can talk for hours. And with a baby on the way, they have lots to talk about.

This is the profile look at 6 months.

And this is the front view. she is doing very well. The morning sickness has seemed to diminish with time.

Matthew painted the baby's room and put together the new crib.

Matthew ripped up the vinyl and installed the ceramic tile. That boy of mine is talented with his hands.

In the third bedroom, Matthew set it up as a movie viewing room. With a 50" TV and high definition, sports and movies come alive.

Grayson and Jessica - Their Wedding

I have never been to a wedding that was not special. And this wedding was certainly special. The bride was beautiful and the groom was handsome. Neither appeared to be too nervous. The music, the pastor, the service and all the attendants were designed to glorify the Lord and to celebrate the union of the two young people. The families were dressed up and ready to witness this event. Everything went off without a hitch. In about 30 minutes we were introduced to Mr and Mrs Grayson McDonald Goodman.

The reception was at the Moore Building at the Fairgrounds. The hall had been decorated and was ready for an evening of fun and fellowship. The food and drink were delicious. Lots of us danced. And the bride and her dad taught us all how to shag. What an evening. Thanks be to God. We are truly blessed.

Lunch on Wedding Day

Brenda and Gary treated the brothers and wives and Gary's children to lunch on the wedding day. It was a great time for telling old old stories and creating new ones.

This is the newest member of the family - Cade Petrey. He is a handsome young lad.

Can you believe that these two are Citadel graduates. They kept reminding us of the Citadel victory over the Gamecocks baseball team.

The Rehersal Party - Jessica and Grayson

The rehearsal party for Jessica and Grayson's wedding was held at the club house for the golf community where Gary and Brenda live. The theme was Hawaiian. There were about 75 family and friends in attendance. Joe and Liz were the greeters. They placed a shell necklace on everyone's neck. The menu was barbeque pork and chicken with all the trimmings. A good time was had by all. Jessica gave all members of the wedding party strict instructions about getting to the wedding on time. And the wedding would come off as prescribed.
